BORN TO BE A SHIPBUILDER
I’m an Accuracy Control Technician with over 16 years of experience in shipbuilding, dimensional control, and CAD-driven production support. My work focuses on ensuring that structural assemblies align with design specifications through metrology methods, data-driven reporting, and continuous process improvement.
With a career spanning from Helper to Fitter to Layout/Drafter and Accuracy Control Technician, I bring a combination of hands-on fabrication knowledge and digital measurement skills. This allows me to bridge the gap between engineering and production, improving accuracy, efficiency, and build quality across all shipbuilding phases.
Raised in a shipbuilding family and now a third-generation shipbuilder, I approach my work with a strong respect for craftsmanship while taking advantage of modern tools such as laser trackers, total stations, Spatial Analyzer and 3D modeling software to drive improvement.

Favorite Projects
I’ve highlighted a few projects which have been professionally challenging and fun.

DDG-85 USS McCampbell
A two-year repair project in which I was responsible for lay-out and drafting of inserts and replacement structural components.

SRIV Acadia
A challenging job with tight tolerance equipment and my first time floating and re-landing a ship.

USS Shippingport
My first Job on the road as a shipfitter. replaced the deck plate above the pump rooms. Had to work carefully as to not damage equipment.
